Brgy. Bagnet
by webby on Oct.17, 2011, under Blog, Food
Welcome to Brgy. Bagnet! I came across their website that I got interested to really check out this place… I think they just recently opened last September 2011 and located in SM North Edsa’s Food Court.
But to be honest, I think this would be my first blog of disappointment and dissatisfying foodie experience…
We went there last weekend (15 Oct 2011); dinner time around 630pm; and ordered for original Bagnet Combo meals… one with Ensaladang Talong as siding and the other one is with Fried Egg which they called Bagnetsilog… and also tried their Bagnet Sisig…
We were really shocked to get these so fatty Bagnet, super purong taba lang, wala mashadong makakaing laman… you can check out our pics to see…
Well, we were just able to eat I guess 5% of our Bagnet…
These meals even came with Java rice which I think were just fake Javas… it was like prepared with STAR margarine or something…
Good thing, we also orderd their Sisig, which was ready made and with less fat…
I really wanted to return our Bagnets but we learned that they ran out of Bagnet and it would take some minutes because they were still cooking and the 2 customers that followed us already placed their orders and waited for it… and of course, we were already starving that time and just avoided further trouble that would not do any good for us…
We were very dissatisfied with our Brgy. Bagnet experience and had to even eat again after… Also, it is quite dissappointing for me because I got interested in visiting Brgy. Bagnet when I saw their yummy food shots… and just had this ugly experience when I got there. :(
Also, I learned that the owner of Brgy. Bagnet is same as Pino Restaurant which I blogged before… food taste and quality served in Brgy. Bagnet was really different or just because they offer cheaper food and located in food court…? I really don’t know?! I guess you too can check it out to see if this was just a one time unfortunate foodie experience or Brgy. Bagnet is really like this!
Peanut Butter Company (PBCo.)
by webby on Sep.12, 2010, under Blog, Food
Arachibutyrophobia is the phobia related to the fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of your mouth.
Welcome to Trip Ko Lang’s Fear Factor!
Yes, I’m afraid of eating peanut butter since I was a kid, I didn’t like its texture, taste and it sometimes makes me dizzy! For me peanut butter is Ewww!
Trip Ko Lang Challenge is to eat Peanut Butter Company’s unique peanut butter combinations on sandwiches, pasta and other food. This is my chance to face my fear of peanut butter, and so here’s my exciting encounter with peanut butter, peanut butter galore in every possible way it can be used and cooked.
We ordered their famous Marshmallow Peanut Butter sandwich, it was warm and you will love every bite of melted marshmallow and peanut butter. I love marshmallows, so thankful for this combination, my love and hate sandwich! Hehehe.
For pasta, we had the classic spaghetti, the cheapest and simplest pasta in the menu. Its sauce was made with Sun-dried Tomato Peanut Butter, yummy flavor, mild taste of peanut butter that is why I also enjoyed it.
BBQ Wings, another best-seller in Peanut Butter Company, topped with Chili Peanut Butter, just the right amount of spiciness. Again, I’m not into spicy foods but this was good and I had a lot of its wings.
The whole Peanut Butter challenge was great; I honestly didn’t expect that I would enjoy every food and change my attitude on peanut butter – I think I would want to eat here again and try other sandwiches and drink their tempting peanut butter shakes… yes, they even have peanut butter on their drinks…
Being amazed by the world of peanut butter that Peanut Butter Company has to offer, we bought one bottle of their White Chocolate Peanut Butter to share and spread the goodness of peanut butter at home…

♪ Gusto ko ng baboy. ♫ Gusto ko ng baboy. ♪ Gusto ko ng ba, ba, baboy man! ♫ Tara na sa Chic-Boy!
The house of delicious and tasty lechon manok and lechon liempo of Cebu.
In Filipino, this catchy name “Chic-Boy” also refers to a boy who loves and pursues a lot of girls… Oh, Boy! you really love those Chics!
Chics and Boys, you are invited to delicious and affordable meals only in Chic-Boy! Girls can go for the chickens and baboy for the boys! Just the perfect match!
right? Hehe.
Chic-Boy started doing business in 2008 from take out counters in Marikina and Quezon City. It was just recently they had their first real fast food restaurant along Jupiter St. in Makati City.
And so… Trip Ko Lang goes to Chic-Boy…
Chic-Boy offers Chibog Busog Meals for less than 100php which include house soup and unlimited rice! Yes, you heard it right! Rice All You Can, calling no-diet people and rice lovers! Hehe.
We had Cebu Lechon Liempo meal at 99php and Cebu Lechon Manok meal at 97php. Both meals were delicious. I loved the Lechon Liempo, it really tasted Cebu’s Lechon which I fell in love with when I was in Cebu.
Vinegar goes with these meals but you also have to try their Lechon sauce…
For side orders, we had Ensaladang Mangga and Pancit Canton at 40php each.
Pancit Canton tasted just the usual but a bit salty… by the way, we also had bottomless Iced Tea just for 25php.
Overall, our Chic-Boy foodie experience was good, enjoyed delicious meals at affordable prices. Super sulit meals!
The place was spacious, clean and friendly environment. Also, loved their interior, great design! Service was good and quick.
Highly recommended for the Chics and Boys on a budget and craving for delicious chicken and baboy! Hehe. See yah!
Go Greek!
by webby on Dec.31, 2009, under Blog, Food
Here’s another food discovery, something different… something new… affordable meals with good taste and quantity. Are you tired of the usual meals in food courts? Go Greek! is one latest addition to Glorietta 4′s food choices, now you can have a taste of the Greek cuisine within your budget…
It was my first time to try Greek food, wanting to have a good meal; my friend suggested that I try the Lamb Gyro Platter… Gyro or Greek sandwich is just like eating the usual Shawarma but here you can have it with the Pita bread and/or rice and with my choice of lamb chops topped with their secret sauce.
Ordering it as a platter made it a bigger meal because it also included Greek salad and baked potatoes.
My friend tried their Lemon Chicken Platter with 1/4 slab of Chicken, rice, Greek salad and baked potatoes. Each meal just cost 155php, very affordable with right amount of serving.
We definitely had a big satisfying dinner, yum, yum, yum! Till our next visit…
