Today is a holiday and Filipinos are celebrating for having an extra free day from work. Thanks to Ninoy Aquino for being a Philippine hero and we are celebrating his death anniversary since then. At present, people tend to forget special events in our Philippine history but there are still some active groups who will always make us remember.
Liberal party headed by Sec. Lito Atienza had organized activities in Plaza Miranda, Quiapo Manila to commemorate the 38th anniversary of Plaza Miranda Bombing. August 21 marks 3 striking events in Philippine history, 1971 – Plaza Miranda Bombing, 1983 – Assassination of Ninoy Aquino and 1989 – Inauguration of the Liberal Party.
We cried and fought for Freedom from injustice and oppression. We attained what we wanted. Now, we must always be aware and protect our freedom, together we can make change and hope for the good of all our countrymen.
